Quantum’s technology is all about performance. Performance of both horse and rider.
The horse’s performance is improved by comfort and freedom of movement. The rider’s performance is improved by comfort, security/stability and contact.
In addition to the performance benefits, the Quantum Saddle is easy to fit and adjust as your horse changes shape due to age or fitness. You can also keep the same saddle if you change your horse by simply asking your Quantum Saddle fitter to alter your existing saddle. This can be done on site in a matter of minutes.
Carbon Fibre Fin
The aim of the fin is to convert the concentrated local load of a rider into an evenly distributed pressure well clear of the horse’s scapula.
The fin achieves this by being very stiff, and the correct shape and size to deflect the load evenly over a large surface area. Carbon fibre is not only exceptionally strong but also very light.
Dual Density Foam Pads
Extensive pressure testing determined the best material combinations to aid pressure distribution.
By far the best results were achieved with a layer of open cell foam closest to the horse and a layer of closed cell foam between the open cell foam and the carbon fibre. The pads are then finished in the finest calf skin leather.
Stirrup Bar
The stirrup is designed to put the rider in the ideal balanced riding position.
The stirrup bar is mounted to the fins further back than a traditional saddle to ensure there is no restriction to the horse’s shoulders. This will enable the horse to achieve full movement.
The Bridge and Spacers
The bridge links the two carbon fibre fins and provides the attachment for the seat.
It comes in a medium or wide size to accurately fit your horse. The angle of the fins in relation to the bridge are altered using spacers. There are 9 different spacers, again this will ensure a perfect fit to your horse.

The "W" Self-Righting Girth
The girth is mounted to the carbon fibre fins
using a unique ‘W’ three point self-righting
system.
This innovation not only improves pressure distribution but also holds the saddle in its optimum position and prevents saddle slippage. Breast plates become a thing of the past. The saddle stays where it should be.
The Seat
The seat is also made from carbon fibre. It is mounted to the chassis at the bridge via an angle block.
The angle block can be altered to ensure the rider is sat in the ideal riding position.
Finally the seat is covered in the finest Italian calf skin by award winning Master Saddler Patrick Keane.
